What is the difference between a base package and add-on services?
Think of the Legacy and Celebration packages as your foundation. Each one covers a specific amount of time, locations, and what’s included by default (ceremony, reception, photos, tribute video, etc.).
Add-ons are enhancements that sit on top of that foundation — more hours, additional locations like the graveside, deeper storytelling interviews, rush turnaround, extended films, or live streaming. They do not replace the package; they simply deepen and extend it.
For example, if you book the Celebration package and want us to also cover a graveside service and create an extended documentary portrait, those items are added onto the Celebration package price.
How many people are on your team for a memorial service?
For both the Legacy and Celebration packages, you can expect:
- 1 dedicated videographer – managing the main cameras, audio, and ceremony coverage
- 1 dedicated photographer – focused on candids, details, and key moments

If I book the Extended Documentary Portrait, why do I still need a package?
The Extended Documentary Portrait is an add-on film that uses the footage and audio we capture through your base package. It weaves together ceremony highlights, reception moments, and one or more family interviews into a single, deeper story.
Without a package, there’s nothing to build that documentary from. The package ensures we are on-site with cameras and audio. The documentary add-on is where we take that footage further in the edit and structure.
Can we just book live streaming or interviews without a package?
In most cases, no. Live streaming, interviews, and additional films are designed to attach to either the Legacy or Celebration package. That’s how we keep the coverage consistent and manageable for your family.
If you have a very unique situation (for example, you already have a photographer but need only one specific element documented), we’re happy to talk and see if a custom solution makes sense.
When should I book your services?
We recommend booking as soon as you have a date and venue confirmed. Our schedule fills quickly, especially during weekends and holidays. That said, we know memorial services often come together quickly.
We do our best to accommodate short-notice requests and are available for last-minute coverage when possible. A quick phone call is the fastest way to confirm availability.
How do you ensure discretion during such an emotional day?
Our team is trained to be completely unobtrusive. We use quiet equipment, keep movements minimal, and position ourselves in a way that captures the moment without becoming part of it.

Can you work with funeral homes and religious venues?
Yes. We have experience working with funeral homes, churches, synagogues, mosques, and other religious venues throughout the DMV region.
We coordinate with venue staff ahead of time, follow their guidelines, and adapt to any rules regarding cameras, positioning, or recording during the service.
How long does editing take, and what if we need things faster?
Standard turnaround for full edited videos is 3–5 business days. Photo galleries are typically delivered in the same window or sooner, depending on the package.
If your family needs materials faster (for example, to show at a second service or for relatives traveling), we offer rush editing and same-day highlight options as add-ons.
How far do you travel for memorial services?
Travel is included within 25 miles of Fredericksburg, VA for the Legacy package and within 50 miles for the Celebration package.
We do travel beyond those distances across Virginia, DC, and Maryland — additional travel fees may apply, and we’ll outline those clearly before you sign anything.
Do you offer coverage for military honors and graveside ceremonies?
Yes. We understand the importance of military honors, flag ceremonies, and graveside services. These can be included within your package if time allows, or added using the Graveside Service Tribute add-on.
We coordinate with funeral directors and honor guards to ensure we’re in the right place at the right time to document these moments respectfully.
How do payment and booking work?
Once we confirm availability, we’ll send a simple agreement outlining your chosen package, any add-ons, and the total price. A retainer is typically required to secure the date, with the remaining balance due around the time of the service.
Our goal is to keep the process as stress-free as possible — clear communication, transparent pricing, and no surprises.
Can we decide on add-ons later, or do we have to choose everything up front?
We usually lock in your base package first (Legacy or Celebration) so the date, time window, and core coverage are secure. From there, we can talk through add-ons like extended coverage, interviews, or streaming once you have a clearer picture of the day.
Some add-ons (like rush editing or extended documentary portrait) can be decided after the service. Others that affect how we shoot (like live streaming or extra locations) need to be confirmed before the day.
What is your reschedule or cancellation policy?
We understand that plans around a memorial service can change quickly and unexpectedly. If your date, time, or location shifts, we’ll do everything we can to adjust and stay with your family.
Our standard agreement includes a retainer to reserve your date. If a cancellation or major change happens, we review things case by case with compassion and transparency so you’re not guessing about costs.
What if some family members don’t want to be on camera?
We always respect personal boundaries. If certain family members prefer not to be filmed or photographed, we’ll note that before the service and work around their wishes.
