Behind the Scenes: Creating a High-Quality Video Shoot for Tech Ten Tactical

How we partnered with Tech Ten Tactical to produce a live-fire product video at The Crucible in Fredericksburg — blending on-range action with studio precision to showcase the T10 Sling system.

When innovation meets storytelling, you get more than a product video — you get a tactical brand experience built to move your audience. At GoodLuckStef Productions, we recently had the pleasure of partnering with Tech Ten Tactical on their collaboration with Anderson Manufacturing to promote the T10 Sling, T10 Swinger Mount, and Inserts for B5 or LMT Stock.

This wasn't a studio-only production. To showcase the T10 system the way it was meant to be used, we headed out to the range at The Crucible in Fredericksburg, Virginia — a professional training environment that let us safely capture dynamic live-fire shots while staying true to the realities of the tactical world.

The Mission: Bring the T10 System to Life

Our goal was to create a piece that not only looked cinematic, but also highlighted the core features of the T10 Sling and Swinger Mount, clearly delivered all of Tech Ten Tactical's key talking points, and showed the product in realistic use cases from multiple angles.

We storyboarded the shoot around the user journey — from initial setup and mounting to transitions, movement, and live-fire sequences that demonstrate how the system performs when it matters.

Why Tech Ten Tactical Chose GLS

At GLS, we are no strangers to working with guns, gun courses, and three-letter agencies. We've spent years embedded in the tactical community, helping operators and instructors communicate their methods clearly and responsibly, brands and retailers launch and explain their products with accuracy and credibility, and everyday gun owners access better information, safer setups, and smarter training content.

That experience means we understand both the visual language of the tactical world and the safety and compliance requirements that come with filming around firearms. For Tech Ten Tactical, that translated into a crew that knew how to move, where to be, and how to keep the focus on the product — not the production.

Planning the Shoot: Range Meets Studio

This project blended on-range action with a controlled studio setup to give us the best of both worlds. The range gave us authentic, dynamic footage with real movement and real stakes. The studio gave us clean, controlled shots that highlighted product details — mounting hardware, adjustment points, and material quality — in a way that's impossible to capture in the field.

We coordinated with The Crucible to ensure all safety protocols were followed, all personnel were properly briefed, and all filming was conducted within their established range rules. Safety is never an afterthought on a live-fire production — it's the foundation everything else is built on.

Executing on Set: Professionalism Meets Precision

On the day of the shoot, the GLS crew arrived early to set up lighting rigs, test angles, and walk through the shot list with the Tech Ten Tactical team. We ran multiple takes of each sequence — both for coverage and to capture the natural, unrehearsed moments that make tactical content feel real.

The live-fire sequences required careful coordination between the camera operator, the shooter, and the range safety officer. Every shot was planned, every position was cleared, and every transition was rehearsed before we rolled. The result was footage that felt dynamic and authentic without ever compromising safety.

What We Delivered

The final deliverables for Tech Ten Tactical included a primary product video optimized for their website and YouTube channel, short-form cuts for social media, and still frames pulled from the footage for use in product listings and marketing materials. The video clearly communicates the T10 system's value proposition — durability, versatility, and ease of use — in a format that resonates with their target audience of serious shooters and tactical professionals.
